Sustrans, Scotland

Sustrans is a leading UK charity enabling people to travel by foot, bike or public transport for more of the journeys we make every day.

Chris Brammall has been working with the charity on an ongoing project to design, manufacture and fit a variety of public interventions at key intervals along part of the 237 mile Caledonia Way - a popular cycle and footpath in Scotland.

The shape of the pieces are based around the celtic theme and Viking ships taken from poems which local school children had written. The scheme includes over 30 pieces including bollards, cycle racks, gates, railings and access control points. Chris has designed each one themed to its specific location at key points along Route 78 –the part of the Caledonia Way which runs from Oban to Fort William.

Pieces have been manufactured in mild steel with a paint finish. For more information about Sustrans and the Caledonia Way visit http://ow.ly/4mIVPN
