Bespoke steel bench with timber seating

Chris Brammall were approached by Landscape Architects Iteriad to design develop a feature bench to create a unique focal point for the annual traditional Rush Bearing festival gathering, weddings and funerals.

Chris took the original conept idea and developed the design to be site specific depicting the Old Man of Coniston on the left and Wetherlam to the right.  The bench is also inscribed with a passage from the Bible Psalm 121.  The dip in the middle of the text also defines the prominent face of Black Sails and High Wether Crag.

Psalm 121.

I lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.

The bench was fabricated in steel with acoya seating and was finished in our signature galvanised patination.  Installation by the Chris Brammall team.
