Pontypool Patterns

These installation pieces are part of the wider regeneration scheme to improve the urban development in George St. Pontypool. Inspiration has been taken from the famous Pontypool Japanned Tinware and developed by Stephen Broadbent in conjunction with the community, including local schools and members of the public.

There are 5 different themes: Rugby; Market; Environment; Industry; Children's Patterns, each one made from steel and stove enamel. The aim is for the patterned pieces to be used not only as seats, but also as meeting points, landmarks and playful objects.
