Yorkshire Gateway Sculpture

Chris Brammall was delighted to be commissioned by Doncaster City Council as designer maker of a unique iconic public art feature to commemmorate the completion of the Great Yorkshire Way.  The sculpture marks the gateway to Yorkshire and to the North.

Constructed in 10mm mild steel the sculpture stands at 8.6m high and is 8.5m at its widest point. It is painted in a bright yellow based on the Welcome to Yorkshire logo. 

Installation took place on Thursday 26th April 2018 one week ahead of the Tour de Yorkshire (3-6 May 2018) which will see riders pass the iconic sculpture.
